01What we do

Ludorvik reviews video games for players and families in the UK. We write only about games we have played properly, over many evenings, and every blueprint gives a typical session, a stop point where the game is easy to save and quit, who can talk to you, what it sells once you are playing, comfort notes and who it suits.

02Why a workbench?

Because choosing a game for the evening is a little like crafting: a few ingredients go in, and what comes out should fit. How much time there is, who is in the room and how much energy is left decide more than any score. The bench makes that choice honest before anyone presses start, and every review ends at a save point.

03Who writes the reviews

A small team of long-time players, from puzzle and story games to platformers and party games, alongside parents who try the family controls on each platform we mention.

04How the site is funded

Not by anyone in the games business. There are no adverts, affiliate links, sponsored reviews or products for sale. We host no games, run no accounts and take no payments.

05Conflicts of interest

If a reviewer has a personal or professional link to a game or a studio, someone else reviews it and the blueprint says so. We accept no gifts, trips or early access in exchange for coverage.

06The artwork

Every picture of a game’s world is an original illustration made for Ludorvik in that game’s own visual style: a colouring book for one, papercraft for another, a railway diagram for a third. None of it is official artwork, a screenshot or a real person. Our emblem is our own.

07Why UK English?

British spelling, UK age labels and UK support services. No pop-ups, no autoplaying video or sound and no tracking.
